School By-Products (by Intodesign Laboratory)

Intodesign Lab is Tay Tze Yong and Lam Choi Suan – They have recently completed the ‘Cardboard City’ installation with PAMSC. Their talk focuses on work and research that aims at nurturing young minds especially primary school children.



Wall Art World (by Wong Lin Sze)

Ms Wong Lin Sze received her architectural education from USM, and has been an educator for a number of years. She is currently teaching at UCTS. In her talk, she’ll tell us about her Street Art Project with her students which is aimed at elevating our experience of the streetscape.

A Few Interests 有情有趣  (by Basic Design Workshop)

Shi Chee & Shi Chen are interested in bricks, cave, gap, span, time, courtyard, veranda, houses, schools and a few other things. In the process of problem solving and decision making, a few interests is the source of inspiration and motivation.

This CPD will examine the roles and responsibilities of the Architect under the Housing Development Act (Act 118 Peninsular Malaysia 2007) and the Sarawak Housing Ordinance (1993) and related regulations. It will cover an overview of the two sets of laws in force in West Malaysia and Sarawak and point out the major differences. A brief outline of the certification process under the housing acts and ordinances and the management of quality in relation to this certification is reviewed. Managing common defects and complaint is also considered.
