Managing Practical Completion & Things to Consider

Practical Completion can generally be defined as works practically completed, with no out-standing defects and the building can be used for its intended purposes.

But often there are underlying issues, such as

1. Can CPC be issued without Contractor fulfilling all their obligations/ non-compliance?

2. Can Architect issue CPC with conditions?

3. Can CPC be retracted by the Architect due to major defects found during Defect Liability Period?

4. Can CPC be issued when Employer decides to take possession of parts of the building ahead of time?

The Speakers will look into Architects role as contract administrator and our role in certification for Practical Completion of projects. They will present several relevant case studies and look into:

-Comparison of the practical completion clauses between few type of contracts

-Partial Completion

-Sectional Completion

Speakers:

1. Ar. ADRIANTA AZIZ

2. Ar. AHMAD RIDHA ABDUL RAZAK
