The Seminar On Architect’s Talk (SOAP) 2019 is a research sharing session by Ar Ridha Razak and Ar Adrianta Aziz on their research studies on the Copyrights issues in Architecture and also on the issues of dealing with the deceased of an Architect.

The first talk will be covering on the relation of copyrights to the Architect, rights of the copy right owner , things to know on Architectural copyright, sample cases and how to enhanced your work copyright. The second talk will be covering on deceased of an Architect and how to take over the project covering implication to Architects registration, its ACP, work, taking over of projects by 2nd Architect and common issues.

Ar. Ahmad Ridha Abdul Razak

Architect, Chairman of ARCASIA committee on Young Architects, PAM Council 2017-2018, 2019-2020, Bear & LAP Facilitator, PSMB Certified Trainer, Adjudicator and many more.

He is a partner in a 35 years establishment of AbRAZ Arkitek , Training Company ARN consulting and Digital Agency Seetizens Lab Sdn Bhd. He is an active member of PAM, LAM, MIID, IFE, MIARB, MGBC, MIP and has involved in Focus Group Delivery of Construction Permit (FGDCP) dealing with OSC 3.0 and issues related to Strata Titles Act to the industry since 2014. Currently, he is actively giving talks and seminar at various platform on the subject of Strata challenges in Delivery Construction Permit and areas of sustainability. He is also active committee in LAM on surveillance and enforcement and Inspector of works.

Ar. Adrianta Aziz

Architect, PAM Council 2017-2018, 2019-2020, Bear & LAP Facilitator, PSMB Certified Trainer, practicing in Arrad Architects and ARN Consulting.

Ar Adrianta graduate from Oxford Brookes, UK in 1999. Upon returning, he has done various type of projects for Parbadanan Putra Jaya, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, PKNS Felcra, Cyberview and many more.

He is the PAM Committee chairman for CPD for 2019-2020, represent Malaysia in ARCASIA Committee on Education and actively giving public talks in various events for organization such as JKR, Developers, school & universities and other public functions. He has given international talks in various subjects in Philippines, India, Cambodia, Pakistan and many more.

Once registration is confirmed, you are subjected to NON-ATTENDANCE FEE. After registration, if you are unable to attend please notify us two days before event date for cancellation. This CPD will examine the roles and responsibilities of the Architect under the Housing Development Act (Act 118 Peninsular Malaysia 2007) and the Sarawak Housing Ordinance (1993) and related regulations. It will cover an overview of the two sets of laws in force in West Malaysia and Sarawak and point out the major differences. A brief outline of the certification process under the housing acts and ordinances and the management of quality in relation to this certification is reviewed. Managing common defects and complaint is also considered.
