Weez Wong    Mr. Weez Wong - Marketing & Façade Manager

First Speakers’ Biography

Mr. Weez Wong has been joining Terreal Malaysia as a Customer Service Manager since 2016, he took over Marketing Department and Terracotta Façade business since 2017. Graduated from University of Evry in Paris in 2004 with a Master of International Trade. Mr. Wong has more than 10 years of experiences in international business within Europe and Asia.

Ivan Loo    Mr. Ivan Loo - Senior Sales Manager (Roofing Solution)

Second Speakers’ Biography

Mr. Ivan Loo is the Senior Sales Manager of Terreal Malaysia. Graduated from University of Malaya in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Mr. Ivan had 12 years experiences in providing solutions for all types of roofing solutions. With regards of insulation, Mr. Ivan had 7 years experience in roofing insulation.

Mohd Azlan   Mr. Mohd Azlan - Customer Service Executive

Third Speakers’ Biography

Graduated from UiTM in Degree of Industrial Design (Hons). Wide experience in computerised aided design software. Join Terreal in 2017 as Customer Service Executive. Work closely with Terreal Specs team and Sales Team to deliver technical support from architectural drawing concept to recommendations drawing for installation. Guiding roofer and contractors to follow Terreal Step by Step installation.


1) SMART Building Envelope

a) Introduction to the ventilated façade system concept.

b) Benefits in terms of thermal efficiency and light shading (OTTV) and fire resistance.

c) Green building consideration when designing a smart building envelope.

d) How to design a smart building envelop in terms of materials, fixing systems, singular points (windows, corners, top and bottom of building façade).

e) Consideration on installation.

2) Passive Design

a) Code of practice MS1525 on energy efficiency and use of renewable energy for buildings.

b) Mandatory for new buildings to achieve a U-Value less than 0.4 with the emended of Uniform Building By-Law (UBBL).

c) How the calculations of U-value will take place? What aspects do we need to take into consideration in obtaining the correct U-value? All of this will be explained during seminar.

This CPD will examine the roles and responsibilities of the Architect under the Housing Development Act (Act 118 Peninsular Malaysia 2007) and the Sarawak Housing Ordinance (1993) and related regulations. It will cover an overview of the two sets of laws in force in West Malaysia and Sarawak and point out the major differences. A brief outline of the certification process under the housing acts and ordinances and the management of quality in relation to this certification is reviewed. Managing common defects and complaint is also considered.
