SYNOPSIS OF PRESENTATION
Green has been in vogue since the earliest Architectural works. With increasing focus on form and iconic design, many modern buildings have increasingly depended on available technology to create their desired indoor environment. With the recent increasing awareness of the roles buildings play in contributing to green-house gases, there has been a refocus on “environmentally friendly” architecture. There are many differing views of what constitute green design. The key components of what constitutes green design and “environmental friendly” design is first reviewed. Some key principles of passive green architecture are explored.

This year, PAM bestowed a total of 22 awards from 14 categories, selected from 182 entries throughout the country.

This year, 3 entries from Sarawak won prizes thus prolonging our run of winning PAM Awards since 2006.

This year, instead of focusing solely on the winners – we decided to turn the spotlight on the 16 entries from Sarawak – to congratulate them on their efforts and to encourage other Sarawakian architects to participate in showcasing their work.

Well done, guys – keep up the good work!
